lyrics

I return, to the site of black graves
Whereupon they lay in darkness
Beneath the broken soil
Among the worms and vermin tentacles

My rotting treasures, I surrendered you to sleep
To gander into obscurity,
And there lay my children, we shall reunite in hell
For we have not chosen the nether

it has chosen our souls to perish
The incandescent beams of moonlight
Reveal the festering pit of sand
Tearing me and stripping me of life

I dwell in the sorrowful dreamworlds
The memories of the fallen living
That persist in the howling gales
A guiltless existence is bestowed

My mind reaped by a black cloud
Visions of my past stolen by darkness
A crown bejeweled with obsidian spirits
Never yielding to the howls of dogma

Dragged to the bottom of an endless grave
writhing from torment fighting for my life
My soul has been forsaken to serve this earth for all eternity
There is no hope in death's grasp only certain doom

Straight to the bottom paralyzed by the dark
Shackles of roots and thorns binding my limbs
The stench of death enters my lungs devouring my body and mind
never to return, surrendering to eternal slumber

about

Scytherium Orlando, Florida

Mother Death (2011) was an exercise in nightmarish discovery. As the band's sound began to organically form, the final result of the recording sessions yielded an atmospheric debut opus with a very raw symphonic voice and bold musical statements.

The Midnight Cadenza (2013) is a step deeper into the void, revealing a more intense and melodic barrage of sound.
