Mother Death (2011) was an exercise in nightmarish discovery. As the band's sound began to organically form, the final result of the recording sessions yielded an atmospheric debut opus with a very raw symphonic voice and bold musical statements. These seeds would grow further yet, to push Scytherium's sound to new and forsaken places and secure Scytherium's ability to self produce and create material.

lyrics

You can never return
To the land of the bright
Secrets you hold so tight
From the land of the living

Arch witchcraft, the power of doom
The girl in the mist
The shadow of night
The magic of Satan

You are my highest magic
The beauty of death
Chains of deception
Hold you from flying above

A land of fear
The process is near
To become a servant of winter
An endless fight, ending tonight
No remorse for the living

You are my highest magic
The beauty of death
Chains of deception
Hold you from flying above

Take my hand, my pale, beautiful corpse
My silent bride
Together we avoid the sun
Collapsing all faiths
Enchanting my soul
I see your eyes
Deep and black with terror
False revelations

I use the eternal magics
The forces of Satan
Destroying the pillars
Consuming my skin
My own skin

In the night sky
I can hear her ghost in the darkness
Sent through space and time
To capture my soul

In the night sky
I can see her shadows
Sent through space and time
The voice of the final hour
